Sassafras Layout
Happy Monday everyone! Over on the Sassafras blog, there's a sketch challenge. I LOVE the though of getting free Sassafras goodies if I win, so I participated in the challenge. The requirements were to use 90% Sassafras products on your page. The only thing I used that WASN'T Sassafras was the blue mist on the background. It's from Tattered Angels.

April 7th Sassy Lil Sketches Card
Here's another card that I've made from a Sassy Lil Sketch! I love these Echo Park kits- they're so easy to use! The colors coordinate so well!! I'm on Spring Break at my grandma's house, and I brought some EP kits along with glue, rhinestones, etc so that I could do some challenges while I'm away. And the Echo Park kits are so so convenient to use!! I used the "Sweet Summertime" line on this card.

Frosted Designs Project- Friday Challenge
The Fabulous Friday challenge over at Frosted Designs last week was to use brads on a card or layout. So, I made a card using brads. I used brads for the ends of the little "hello!" banner. I used Echo Park's "A Walk in the Park" line for this.
Thanks for looking!

Blog Hop Time!!
Hi! Welcome to the Spring 2011 Blog Hop! I am so excited to be participating in the hop this time. I have just gotten my blog up and running in the past couple of months, so come by again sometime to see what I’m up to.
Spring time is a time when flowers bloom, and you are probably scrapping spring-y things. So, I am going to share with you an awesome technique to make some flowers for your projects! I love flowers, so it wasn’t hard to think of something to do for this blog hop. A friend gave us some coffee filters a while ago, and I instantly thought “There must be some way to make flowers out of these things!” (We aren’t coffee fans in my house, so I have all the coffee filters to myself) So, today I am sharing with you a tutorial that I made on how to make your own flowers with a simple coffee filter.
2. Fold your coffee filter in half and cut along the sewed pattern.
3. Cut your "ring".
4. Apply glue all over a diecut circle. Then, starting in the middle, twirl the coffee filter strip into a circle.
5. Continue twirling.
*when you're finished with the above step, your flower should look like this*
6. Flatten your flower a little.
7. Cut off any excess paper showing around the flower.
8. Tuck in the end of your coffee filter and attach a button or other embellishment to the center of your flower.
And here are some cards that I have made with these coffee filter flowers.
Well, now you know how to create some pretty flowers out of plain ol’ coffee filters! Now it’s time for a giveaway! I love entering giveaways on blog hops, so I thought "Why not have one of my own?" All you have to do is leave a comment AND become a follower of my blog. (please tell me in the comment if you have become a follower) I will pick a winner on Monday. April 11, 2011 to receive this cute repositionable stamp from Unity Stamp Company and a buttterfly shaped chipboard album from Colorbok and announce it here on my blog.
Thank you for stopping by! Now, hop along to Melissa’s blog. She is an awesome scrapbooker, so I’m sure you will find her projects inspiring! Have fun!

This is also for Frosted Designs Fabuloous Friday Challenge which is to use bling on your layout or card. I added Stickles to some of the stickers to add some glitter to the layout.

Moxie Fab World Blog Card
Right now there's a challenge on the Moxie Fab World Blog here to put a hot air balloon on a project. I loved Kalyn Kepner's quilted balloon card, so I downloaded the template from Paper Crafts here and made my own little balloon card. :) I used my new Echo Park "A Walk in the Park" paper, and I love love love how the card turned out.
You can play along with Moxie Fab too! Just click this link here and make a cute little project using hot air balloons! You might win a prize from MFW!!
