Frosted Designs Layout

I'm here again with another layout made from a Frosted Designs sketch! To be honest, I wasn't wuite sure what I'd do with this sketch- there's so much "randomness." But when I started working on the page, I was amazed at how quickly it came together! And I like it! I used some Doodlebug Designs paper from Hobby Lobby (yes, Hobby Lobby now sells DD paper- woo hoo!) and then I used some Nikki Sivils stickers and embellishments. I was so happy that Nikki's stuff matched the Doodlebug paper so well! I guess this just proves that you don't know how easy something can be until you do it. :)

In case you can't tell, I'm trying to make myself type more on my blog posts- not just post the pictures, explain them a little. Please answer this question.... do you ever read blog posts or do you just look at the pictures?!

Sassy Lil Cards!! (again!)

More cards for Sassy Lil Sketches! Can I just say I LOVE their sketches?! For the first card, I used some Nikki Sivils paper and embellie stickers, and for the second card, I used Echo Park paper! :) I especially love the second card. Maybe because I love basically everthing I make with that paper line! (It's called "Life is Good" by the way) Thanks for looking!!

Some photography to share with you...

I was looking through our computer at home and I saw some flower pictures that I have taken throughout the last couple of years and I thought "Ooh- I can share these on my blog!" One of my favorite subjects for my photos is flowers. They're so so beautiful and you can get so many different views of them. For instance, this first flower has water droplets on it because I took it in the morning while the dew was still on the ground. Then if you keep scrolling down this post, you'll find a picture of a rose in the snow! I love taking pictures... if anyone has some do-it-yourself techniques for taking pictures, I'd love to hear them! :)

By the way, all of these pictures were taken with my point-and-shoot Sony Cybershot camera. I thought they all turned out very well to not be using a professional camera!

Frosted Designs Projects

For National Scrapbook Day, Frosted Designs had an online crop with lots of challenges. I did a few of them, and I'm going to post them here! :) I wish I could do more, but I'm working on some other things right now.

First of all, here's my layout for the Sketch Along Tuesday Challenge (not part of the NSD challenges).

One of the challenges was to use the colors that you are wearing on a project. I was wearing my OLD and faithful and most comfortable shirt I have in my closet. It's not the best looking shirt (I call it my old clothes) but I had some Basic Grey paper that had the same colors on it!!

Then the last challenge I participated in was to use frames in a different way. I stitched my frame, then I also used a little frame to put the date in.

As you can see, I didn't do many of the challenges, but I would have had I not been tied up with some projects from the Big Picture Classes on Saturday. :P

Sassy Lil' Card!!

I have another Sassy Lil Card to share with you! :) I used the April 21st sketch on this card. I needed a masculine birthday card, and so I used my Cosmo Cricket "Joy Ride" paper for this card. Thanks for looking! ~Heather
