Boy, am I ready for summer! :) I have thoroughly enjoyed my week of freedom!
Yesterday we went swimming at a friend's pool, and I knew I just had to take some pitcures for to use with this Hello Summer! Echo Park paper I recently bought. I love the bright colors in this line. They're not too bright, and not too dark. I kinda blindly bought it because I ordered online, and I hadn't really been looking at it at all till I saw that I needed to order a couple more things to make my order qualify for free shipping. I saw it and thought it was cute, so I stuck it in my cart. And I really am loving it! (I really love all paper though, can you believe it?) I guess blind buying isn't that bad! :P
I used the awesome weekly sketch over at Pretty Little Studio. I really liked this sketch (Haha... I only use them if I like them of course), but I wasn't sure how I was going to ground the photos. I really didn't want them floating in space on the page. It just so happened that my mom opened her birthday presents last night, and she got some Paula Dean cookware. Inside some of the pans there were little cardboard rings. Perfect! I painted them and used them as stamps on this page (I also used a small cup for the smaller circles.). It gave just the effect I was wanting. Woopee! :) It's so fun to use something abnormal on your scrapbook pages!
Ok- that's it for today! Have a fabulous Memorial Day weekend! I am off work on Monday! Woo hoo! I'll probably pop in with some more projects... just depends on how much time I have.
