So how's your week going? Good? I hope so. I've had a pretty low-key week. I had went into school at 10:45 each day this week because of graduation exam testing (which I have already passed). So, it's been nice and relaxing. We've been looking into some things that involve BIG changes for our family and I'm soooo excited about it!! I will post more on it after we finalize some things. That is, if we decide to go ahead with what we're planning. ;)
I finally broke into my Maggie Holmes collection that I've had laying around for a couple of weeks. I'm bad about buying stuff when It first comes out and then not using it until a couple of weeks or months later. So, I thought I'd let my Maggie H stuff gather dust no more! And let me tell you... it's my new fave. You know how sometimes you can buy something and then start using it and it just doesn't work for you? For some reason or another, it just doesn't flow with your creativity like other stuff does? Well, this line flows with my creativity perfectly. I can't help but think of Maggie every time I use this line! I added a few "Maggie" techniques in there, like using my pen and adding some messy underlining on the photo, overexposing my photos a bit, and of course, just using "Maggie" papers and embellies! Speaking of embellishments, have you seen these little bows yet? They're adorable!! I keep trying to save them, but really I should just go ahead and use them. When they're gone, I'll probably be ready for something new anyway. I really want to try to make some of these bows myself. It looks easy. I think I've pinned a little tutorial on Pinterest on how to make some of these. I'll try it sometime and let you know if it works. ;)
These photos are from a little photoshoot I had of my little sis last week. I actually took them at my dad's work. Can you believe it?! I liked the white tin building for the background. Im a big fan of neutral backgrounds. And wanna know something interesting? My little sister already looks differently than she did in these photos-- she has braces now!! She just got them yesterday. So for the next 2 1/2 years, I'll only have pics of her with braces. Wow... My lil sis is growing up!! :( But I guess that isn't all bad. ;)
Oh and by the way, I used a sketch from Scrap Your Story. Click HERE to go to the challenge!
