Yum *Paper Bakery Sketch*

Right now I'm trying to back-scrap pictures that I printed a while ago. Ok, a while ago for me is a month or so. I made an order to Persnickity Prints (I wanted to try out their instagram prints) and I always tell myself NEVER to do that because I don't scrapbook them. I look at them and go, "How do I use all those pictures on this one page?" or something like that. It's like, if I have my photos pre-printed, my brain freezes. And I don't even have ice cream! :P Ok, cheesy. I love printing to my needs. Like, maybe for some reason I feel inspired to scrapbook photos from last Christmas. So I just print out whichever ones I want. But if I had all the Christmas photos already printed in a stack, that would be too daunting to me. So, right now, I'm trying to scrap all those photos I ordered… Plus, my ink in my Selphy is out and the ink in my HP printer is almost out… so I'm trying to prolong buying ink as long as I can. LOL I don't think it can wait too much longer.

Anyway, I had these photos printed of me eating a cookie at a local-ish restaurant sometime this summer. Why I printed them, I'll never know. First of all, I'm not crazy about photos of me. Second, silly photos of me? Please no. I'm ok with a photo of, like, Laura and I, but not just me. But, I was telling myself to scrapbook all of the photos I printed, so I went ahead and put these on a page.

I used this sketch from The Paper Bakery.

At first I wasn't too crazy at how the layers lined up against one another. I guess when I layer, I like only bits of each pattern sticking out. Not a lot like this sketch. Then I thought, "Hey! I could add stitching!" So there was my solution. I added stitching to each layer of paper and I think that gave it a more finished look. Plus I used a Paper Bakery kit! This one's called, "Boardwalk." It's the kit from August. Now all I have left of this kit is bits and pieces! Trying to use up stash, trying to use up stash…

Anyway, there's two less photos in my stack to scrap! (I'm actually now almost done with the stack… I'm just telling you about it at the tail end! Hee hee!) Stop back soon! I'm trying to auto-post a little bit so it's not too boring around here. :)

  1. I love the hexagons and the stitching really brings the page together!

I always print out my own photos at home. I like to have pictures at different sizes, so printing them myself is easiest. ;)
