Scrapbook Layout: Love You Like Crazy {The Cut Shoppe}

Hellooooo! I have a new layout up on The Cut Shoppe blog today. It's a nice and spring-y page, so I'm excited that I finally get to share it!

I used the awesome Rosey Posey cut file for this page. I focused on using just ONE cut file on my page rather than putting several different files together. I just love the bold, yet feminine, feel this floral diecut gives to the overall page.

I love getting a little bit artsy on my pages, so I used some gesso on the flowers as a first layer. Once that dried, I added some acrylic paints. Some of the paints I used are from Studio Calico. Those Color Theory paints actually have a bit of a shine to them. At first I was like, "What in the world?!" but now I really love the sheen. Sometimes you don't want that dull acrylic paint look… so Color Theory paints come to the rescue! :)

Besides the paints, I also used another cool item on this page: a transparency. I won several Bella Blvd. transparencies from their CHA giveaway (yep-- there's one of the things I won!). I think this woodgrain print is my fave. I just looooooove it. Actually, there's a clouds one I really like too. Usually I'm not a transparency fan, but something in me has changed and now I love them!

Thanks for stopping by!! :)

  1. Really cute, Heather. How do fasten down the transparency? I can see how on the left side it would be anchored by the embellishments and all, but what about the top, bottom and right side?

    1. It is only adhered under the patterned paper. The transparency kind of statics to the paper anyway, so I am not worried about it coming off. Oh-- and the diecut is stapled down through the trabsparency and the background paper. :)
