TN Spread | XOXO

If you didn't already know, Pretty Little Studio has monthly freebies that you can download in their shop! Sometimes they're printables, and for my month, I designed a free cut file! This file was unfortunately for last month... I'm behind on posting projects. :( This month's freebie is a printable from Claudia Van R. It's super gorgeous. Click HERE to see the freebie of the month (and be sure to check back each month to see what the new download is!).

Anyways, here is a Traveler's Notebook spread that I made with the cut file. I cut the design out of one of the patterns in my XOXO collection and then added a few embellishments and called it done! This is probably my favorite TN spread I have made so far. I love the bright colors against the white grid background. It just makes me happy! :)

Hope you have a happy Wednesday! :)

Sweet Moments

I'm totally having a moment where every time I sit down to make something, I end up stopping because I HATE what I make. So instead of creating, I will blog! :) I have lots of unshared projects that I need to post, so I will take one off of my list right now. ;)

I made this layout in participation of a Clique Kits sketch challenge that I found in their Facebook group (click HERE to join the group!). Here's the sketch I used:

I used the Heart Day collection from Crate Paper paired with other bits and pieces from my stash to make this layout. I have so many v-day products that I need to get used up! So I *tried to make a dent in them. Haha. We all know that you could never buy another piece of scrapbooking supplies and still be able to make stuff for a very, very long time. In other words, I still have lots of stuff left to use. ;)

When is the last time you used a sketch for your project? I think they are fabulous jumping off points! I just might need to go find one to get inspired! :)

Together {pls}

I'm back with a NEW layout that I created using my XOXO collection! This is the very first project that I made with the collection, so I was super excited to play with all of the pretty things.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: patterned paper is probably my favorite product in scrapbooking. I buy lots of paper just because it's so PRETTY! So naturally, I wanted to play with the patterns for my first project.

I used some alphas in my stash to trace around and cut out of the patterns in the XOXO collection. I love the big, bold, blockiness of the font. It helps you be able to read the title with all the busy patterns going on.

I stitched around all of the letters to add some lovely texture to the page. I love machine stitching so much!! I also watercolored behind each letter. I tried to match the colors in the papers, but that didn't really work. I don't have some of those colors in my paints! :( It turned out ok though. I don't think you can tell that they don't match. I finished off the page with a few embellishments in a visual triangle. I tried to keep it pretty simple.

I'm soooooo excited to announce that I am joining the Clique Kits design team for Spring- Summer 2018! It has been a dream of mine to be on a kit club design team, and it's coming true! Yay!!

I've actually applied for this design team several times before and never gotten a spot. But now, I can finally say I MADE IT! I'm so, so, SO excited. I just saw sneaks of the April kit today and it's absolutely breathtaking. I'll share some sneaks soon!

K, just wanted to let y'all know my excitement! :) I can't wait to share more!

XOXO is here!

Hello! Happy Friday!

I just got a beautiful box of XOXO goodness in the mail yesterday, so I snapped a few shots of the collection to share with you! It turned out exactly how I had imagined-- I'm in love with the color palette of this line!

Here's a peek at the entire collection, all piled together:

21 8x8 patterned papers (Melissa still has the 12x12 size in the works for the future!)

rose gold transparencies and vellum:

close-up of the rose gold transparency. It's gorgeous in person.

printed transparencies and vellum:

four different sized paper packs:

one of my favorite items in this collection-- mini alphabet block stickers (a new font this time, too!) and regular alpha stickers:

flair buttons and sequins:

and cut-aparts (some of which are available as die-cuts if you don't want to cut them out yourself):

I'm SO excited to play with this collection! It's my favorite collection I've designed yet. :) What do you have your eye on?

Good Stuff {pls}

I'm up on the Pretty Little Studio blog today sharing another project that I created with my Feels Like Fall collection. I am typing this earlier in the week and I am SO EXCITED because on the day that this posts, I SHOULD be getting my box of my Valentine's Day collection in the mail!!! Those days are my favorite days. I've been waiting anxiously to see this collection in person for months now. I hope it has turned out like I'm wanting it to. If it has, the XOXO collection will probably be my favorite line that I have designed so far. the colors are totally swoon-worthy and I love all of the puns and love-y dove-y sayings I got to put in this collection. But anyways. Enough on that (I'll try to share photos soon!).

I am still loving the tiny patterns of the 2x2 swatch paper pack from PLS. They can be stretched and used in SO many different ways! Here's how I used them on a layout, punched into lots of 1" squares!

I just wrote out a whole blog post for the Pretty Little Studio blog, so if you want to read more about this page, click HERE. :)

Hello Card {pls}

Today I'm up on the Pretty Little Studio blog with a new card that I created using my Feels Like Fall collection. This collection was releases a little late in the fall season, so I've been challenging myself to use it for everyday type projects. And it's been working wonderfully!

To me, you wouldn't even know I used a fall themed collection on this card unless I told you. ;)

I have always loved the motif of hearts, and the heart punch is my most-used punch in my stash. It's a cheap one from Hobby Lobby, but to me it's the perfect size and shape. I punched lots of hearts from the little 2x2 patterns in the swatch pack. The patterns are so tiny and perfect in the swatch pack-- it's one of my new favorite items in the Pretty Little Studio shop. I think the size of the patterns is perfect for cards. <3

If you want to read more about this card (I hate typing stuff twice, so I'll just let you check it out on the PLS blog. :) ), click HERE to view the entire post on the Pretty Little Studio blog! :)
