Hello all! I got a lot of scrapping done this weekend, so I get to share all my projects now! Yippee! This is just one of them. I completed 3 layouts, 1 card, and some cute little Valentine treats this weekend. I haven't layout scrapped in so long it seems. It was nice to get back in the the "groove."
On Friday, Laura and I went out to visit our baby goats. Well, I went with her just so I could take pictures. ;) She ended up wanting me to do an impromptu photo shoot of her! Love it when that happens... it doesn't happen often enough... This layout features our favorite photo from the photo shoot. She's such a pretty girl, don't you think? (Well, if you don't think so, don't tell me. I like thinking that everyone thinks she's gorgeous. ;) ) While taking the pictures, I kept saying "You're so cute!" over and over. Just ask Laura.
I used some of my hoarded Basic Grey "PB&J" papers and stickers for this layout. I'm on a spending freeze for this month, so I'm going back through my stash and using what I have been keeping and *not* using. I am not usually a big fan of BG, but they got me with this line. I love it! So good for the 'everyday' photos I take. I was really inspired by Tina Walker's approach to titles. She posted on her blog one day saying that she liked using the "premade" titles, the ones that are already printed on the papers, stickers, or packaging. I thought, "Cool idea!" So, I used one of the stickers from this line and made my title around it. I will definitely be using this technique more often because I am kinda getting tired of an "all Thicker" title. I like the variety this new approach gives.
Ooh- one last thing! I used a sketch from the Scrapbook Steals blog for this layout. You can find the sketch be clicking here. I really really liked the arrows incorporated into the layout sketch. I used some of my Amy Tan paper that had a chevron arrow-type print on it and just cut out the arrows and sewed them right on! To change it up a bit, I cut some of the arrows down so they weren't the same monotonous shape. Loved how it turned out.
Come back tomorrow for another layout share!
This is a gorgeous layout! I LOVE the way you created the title! and both you and your sister are so cute. ;)
