Repurposing & a Sketch-- All in One

My layout I'm sharing today is a little different than my usual style. I saw the sketch over at Pam's blog (click here to see the sketch) and I immediately thought of my sheet of October Afternoon journaling spots. I had already punched out all of the journaling spots, and I had kept the negative because I liked how it looked! I got out that piece of paper and got to work. I printed out my pictures and glued them under each space and then layered some cute embellishments on top. I left the middle spaces empty and glued a strip of paper over them to create a nice background for my title. Here is where I used the sketch a bit more.

I am so proud of myself for using SEVEN photos on this one layout. I usually use one or two. At first I thought I might not use this sketch, but then I thought, "No, I need the challenge!" I had a lot of pictures of my sister and our baby goats that were fresh from the camera, and I think it worked well to use them all on one layout, rather than dividing them up and using them on separate pages.

Another thing I like about this page is that I didn't worry about elements not matching. I just used anything I wanted. My Tim Holtz tiny attacher gets used a lot now. I don't know what I did without it!
