Christmas Flowers: Scrapped :)

I haven't gotten to scrap anything Christmas-y... I did some Christmas creating back waaay before Christmas, but around Christmas we were moving. So I'm so happy I got to scrap this layout with my "All is Bright" kit from Scrapbook Circle. I actually used a sketch from SC too.

I was a bit leery of using that VERY BOLD striped paper from Glitz Design, but I went ahead with it. And I actually ended up liking it! Just proves some things can turn out well even if you don't originally like it! I even added some glitter ribbon on some of the diagonals... adds some awesome texture to the page. I'm all about texture! :)

I'm going to leave it short and sweet for today. :) Hopefully I'll have some more projects to share soon!

Happy New Year! + SFTIO Empathy

Hello! Happy New Year! It's crazy to think it's now 2014… I wonder what this year will hold in store for me. Hopefully some good stuff! :)

Speaking of good stuff, it's the first day of the month! So that means the kit from Scrapbooking from the Inside Out is live! Yayayay! This kit is super amazing… (I know, I know, what kit of theirs isn't??)

Here's my Instagram photo of the kit this month:

This month's kit is a mix of the Flea Market line from Maggie Holmes and the Cut & Paste collection from Amy Tangerine. I ADORE both of these lines, so when I found out that's what I'd be working with this month, I was super excited. You get several sheets of double-sided papers from each line, along with some coordinating cardstock.

Included in the embellishments is some Amy Tangerine Thickers, some Cut & Paste chipboard from My Mind's Eye, stickers from the Flea Market line, and Chalkboard Studio stickers from MME. Plus some super cute wood veneer hearts, butterfly paperclips from Webster's Pages, resin flowers, photo overlays, butterflies that are die cut out of bark (super cool!!), and a cut-apart sheet of tags from the Flea Market line as well.

This kit just makes me happy. :) :)

OH- and something else important… the emotion this month is

EMPATHY.

Wow… a really deep subject to scrapbook. But a fun one at that. There are so many ways to take this. I can't wait to show you what I've made this month!

See Ya!

Christmas Packaging + Flowers from a Boy

Ok, so life has been crazy and I haven't blogged in a while. Sorry about that! :\ I have been working so much (literally-- I worked 40 hours last week) at my two jobs and between that and moving, I have had basically ZERO "me" time. Ok, so I have been gift wrapping, which is pretty fun. :)

I love wrapping with kraft paper (I buy it in the postal supply section of Dollar Tree) and decorating my packages with my scrapbook stuff! So here are just a couple of gifts I have decorated lately. I have more, it's just that I haven't exactly found a good place to take scrapbooking pictures in our new house, so until then, these (really bad) photos will have to do.

BTdubs (Laura says that all the time… heehee), I'm linking this up to the Scrapbook Circle gift wrapping challenge, which you can find by clicking here. Always love SC challenges!

And in other news, I got my first flowers from a boy!!! Eeeeee! :)

Ok, calm down. It was just my dad. :)

I had had a really long and late day working on Friday and when I finally got home, my dad was still awake. He wasn't feeling good. Anyway, he wold me to go to my room and get the box on my bed. It was the flowers. TOTALLY made my day. I'm such a girly girl about some things and flowers are definitely one of those things. I'm a sucker for fresh flowers. :) He gave Mom and Laura flowers too. He said they were Christmas flowers.
He's very thoughtful, don't ya think? :) Yep-- he's the best.

Oh, and by the way, mine are the prettiest. :)

Life in the Crazy Lane...

This week we'll be moving to our new house! YAYAY! Our closing on our house is tomorrow (Monday) and then closing on our new house is hopefully Wednesday. So I will be packing up all my scrapbook stuff (along with allll our other stuff that hasn't been packed).

So I guess the reason for this post is to say, "Hang on! I'll be back!" :)

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!

I absolutely LOVE Christmas time. This Christmas is going to be SUPER crazy with moving and everything, but I still LOVE this time of year. Even if it is December 3rd and it's 62 degrees...

Anyway, I made these little pillow boxes to hold a little travel size body wash from Bath & Body Works for my friends. (MarLeah, if you're reading this, I sent these out with Mom and Dad and Nathan's supposed to give you yours. If you want to see it before you get it, it's up to you! :) )

I used my Crate Paper "Bundled Up" Project Life cards and chipboard for these little packages. I love doilies and gold right now, so both of those made it onto these little projects. I was going to do some machine sewing on these, but the chipboard is pretty thick and I didn't want to break my needle. :P
