Finally Sharing My December Daily Album!

I have had my December Daily finished since before December started and I just haven't posted it on my blog!! Bad me!

I used a piece of Pink Paislee "Hometown Summer" paper (black numbers), 3 pieces from the new Authentique line called "Wonder", one piece from The Girls' Paperie line called "Tinsel and Twig" (I think), a piece from the Dear Lizzy Christmas line (music), a piece from the Crate Paper "Restoration" line, and a piece from Jenni Bowlin. For 25+ pages, I think that's good! (only 8 papers!)

This is the first time I have ever done one of these albums and up until now I haven't missed a day writing in it!

I had an extra page in the front of the album, so I thought I'd just make a little pocket to put any pictures I take in. I haven't taken that many- maybe I'll do better next year...

Handmade Holiday Blog Hop

Hi! Welcome to my stop on the blog hop! I'm very excited about sharing my holiday project with you, so let's get started!! :)

First, if you didn't come from Laura's blog, then go back to Amanda's blog and start there.

Ok- now my project! I found the cutest little wooden boxes at Dollar Tree (of all places!) and I thought they looked a lot like mini printer's trays! I bought several of them and decided to make some gifts out of them! I painted the box with 2 coats of off-white (and I mixed some brown and white together for a couple of them just because that's all we had on-hand) and then put a coat of gold Stickles only on the surface wood pieces- not too much.

Then I decorated each little box with some paper from The Girls' Paperie and embellies I could find around my scraproom. The chipboard letters are some Tim Holtz Grungeboard letters that I colored with a black permanent marker and then coated with black Stickles.

I thought at first that I would display these little beuts on photo stands, but I tried that and I didn't like it. So I just tied some ribbon to the rings that were already attached to the wooden boxes! The best part about these gifts is that they don't have to be exactly the same!
