"Boy Genius" Layout and a Frosted Designs Card

This weekend I actually got some scrappy time! Woo hoo! I completed a layout for the Sketchy Thursdays challenge and a card for the Frosted Designs card challenge.

You know how sometimes you scrap certain pictures because you're inspired to? Well, that's what I did. I took these pictures this past Wednesday when my mom, sister, and I took care of my little cousin while his mom went to a doctor's appointment. We took care of him in the lobby of the office. Landon really is a little boy genius!!

I got to use my NEW Echo Park "Little Boy" collection I just got this week just for scrapping Landon! Love it- so cutesy and boyish!

Journaling reads: "Warren and Jana recently got an iPhone, and Landon has learned to flip through pictures by sliding his little finger across the screen. He figured out he could do the same thing on Laura's Zune! Just another reason why Landon is a... boy genius."

And here's my card for the Frosted Designs card challenge! I used my new Jillibean Soup "Blossom Soup" line on this card. Jillibean Soup is one of my new favorite companies!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Finally Sharing My December Daily Album!

I have had my December Daily finished since before December started and I just haven't posted it on my blog!! Bad me!

I used a piece of Pink Paislee "Hometown Summer" paper (black numbers), 3 pieces from the new Authentique line called "Wonder", one piece from The Girls' Paperie line called "Tinsel and Twig" (I think), a piece from the Dear Lizzy Christmas line (music), a piece from the Crate Paper "Restoration" line, and a piece from Jenni Bowlin. For 25+ pages, I think that's good! (only 8 papers!)

This is the first time I have ever done one of these albums and up until now I haven't missed a day writing in it!

I had an extra page in the front of the album, so I thought I'd just make a little pocket to put any pictures I take in. I haven't taken that many- maybe I'll do better next year...

Halloween Blog Hop!

Hi! Welcome to my stop on the Trick or Treat Blog Hop! I am very eager to share with you some cards that I have made just for this special occasion!

First, if you haven't come from
Kathy's Blog then go there and start the short little hop from there. :)

Ok. Now to my favorite part- the sharing part!! I absolutely love to make cards, and I happened to have some My Mind's Eye "Blackbird" (MME's Halloween line from last year)paper, diecuts, and brads. I knew they'd be perfect for cards. Plus I had recently won some Halloween pun stamps from
Joy's Life that I just *had* to use! The funny thing is, we really don't do that much for Halloween, although last year all of us kids went trick or treating! :P It was funny... all 4 of us running (yes, RUNNING!) from one house to the next. We got candy though, and that's all that mattered to us! :)

I got a little carried away and made 7 cards total, but it was SO much fun! I challenged myself to use just the MME supplies plus some twine and Stickles, and I found out that product challenges aren't really that bad!
(Click on this picture to see the cards better.)

Close-ups of cards:

So... which one is your favorite? Leave me a comment and tell me which one you like best and I'll pick one lucky winner to receive a scccaaaarrryyy prize of Karen Foster stamps and some Basic Grey bling (ok, it's not that scary)! All comments need to be received by midnight October 31st. Be sure to check back and see if you won! :)

Oh-- and of course I'd LOVE for you to follow my blog! I try to post pretty-sorta-regularly so I'd love for you to pop in and see what I'm up to!

Now go trick or treating to Andrea's blog and hopefully you won't get *too* spooked! :)

Sassy Lil Sketches Card and Layout

Happy Saturday, everyone! :)
Just popping in to share what I did last night! I worked on a Sassy Lil Sketch card AND layout! (and I'm also sharing a card I made last week at the end of this post)
I loved this sketch, and I used some of my pictures that I entered into the fair (and won 2nd place with, BTW) of my little sister.
I have a lot of pictures of her, and so I do a lot of layouts of her in
return! I used some amazing October Afternoon 5&Dime paper plus one piece from their Modern Homemaker line. And. I. LOVE. OA!! It's so awesome and I love it so much I won't have a problem at all using it!
September Week #2 Sassy Lil' Sketch

And then I have a card to share with you too! I mixed-and-matched all these different papers, and I think it looks like they all came in a kit! (nothing like bragging, right? LOL)

And one last card!

A SEI Card...

Hi there! I haven't gotten to scrap the past 2 days, and I'm having withdrawals!! :P So today I'm going to share with you a card I made a couple of weeks ago with some SEI Corinne supplies. Aren't those hot air balloons so cute?! They were rub-ons, but I added some Stickles to them. And those awesomely cute clouds in the background? That was part of the run-on package! I thought they were too cute not to use!

Fabulous Friday Frosted Designs Challenge

This last Fabulous Friday's challenge was to color on your project. Mary Lou from ClubCK sent me this stamped beach scene in a recent toss and I thought it'd be the perfect thing to color! I used plain ol' colored pencils to color it in, then I added Stickles to some parts of the picture.

Happy Birthday Card

The card challenge for this week on Club Creating Keepsakes is to use chipboard some way on your card! I love the look of raw chipboard, so I decided to use all of the rest of my random chipboard flowers on my card! I stamped them with a script stamp from Stampin' Up from a few years ago, added a few brads to a couple of the flowers, and ta-do! You're done! Twine is from hobbiesfromtheheart off Etsy. Love it to death. :)

Supplies: Patterned Paper: My Mind's Eye; Chipboard: K&Company and JoAnn's; Stamps: Stampin' Up, American Crafts; Ink: Colorbox; Brads: American Crafts, Hobby Lobby; Twine: Etsy; Stickles: Ranger; Glue: Glossy Accents

July 7th Sassy Lil Card

I did this card a while ago and just haven't posted it yet!! I loved this sketch, and I immediately knew what I was going to do when I saw the sketch. I had gotten some new Hampton Arts stamps in the mail for a prize from someone from Club Creating Keepsakes and I wanted to try them out.

I usually don't stamp, so I thought it'd be kinda neat to try it out. And I found out I like it! The only thing is that it takes a while. Getting out the stamps, inking them, cleaning them up... anyway- I was kinda scared about the grid pattern because I was stamping it "free handed" and was afraid that I'd get it lopsided! It ended up being alright and I really like how the whole thing turned out! To top it off with a little dimension, I added some clear Stickles to the center flower.

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Nikki Sivils, Stamps: Hanpton Arts, Ink: Colorbox, Thickers: American Crafts, Scalloped Punch: Fiskars, Stickles: Ranger
