First PLS Project {Pretty Little Studio}

How exciting is this?! I have my very first layout up at the Pretty Little Studio blog! I used the BRAND NEW "Birthday Cake" collection for this layout. This line has just been released, and you can preorder it here. It starts shipping March 15th.

I love this collection. The colors are so BRIGHT and cheery. Stripes, scallops, chevrons, and more! Along with the cute little vintage animals, I know you'll love this collection as much as I do! I think the lil' tiger is my favorite animal in this line. I used one of the word cards with him on it for this layout. I'll be sad when I run out of little tigers to use. But then again, the other animals are cute as well! :)

I made my very first Birthday Cake layout with pictures of... What else? A cake! My mom made my little sister a birthday cake for her 14th birthday and it turned out to be a disaster. It was a layer cake and it started cracking and falling apart. So we tried to add some icing, and it still looked bad. Then we tried some other stuff to try and save it, but it didn't help. We ended up calling it the "earthquake cake." It tasted good though! (good thing!) So, my layout is featuring this not-so-perfect cake! The pretty product makes up for the ugly cake, right?

How was your NSD?

I had an awesome weekend at my scrapbook retreat! After I got home this afternoon, then I did another layout with this Pretty Little Studio sketch. I normally would NEVER be this "random" with my page but I thought it might be fun to be a little "messy" with my style. What do you think of it? I used some Jillibean Soup "Sweet & Sour" scraps that I have... I lovvvve this line! I bought a LOT of new stuff at the retreat this weekend... the most I have ever spent at one time on scrappy stuff. I didn't know how much I spent till the end of the retreat, and boy-- it sure grows! LOL I better go on another freeze. :)

Pretty Little Studio Sketch Cards!

I know, I know... two posts in one day! :)

I made these cards this week with this AWESOME Pretty Little Studio sketch! I still want to make a layout with this sketch, but for now, I have only done 2 cards with it.


I really liked how the title was above the pennants and to the right of the layout, and so I used that part of the sketch as inspiration for this card.

Keri Babbit's example card (shown on the PLS blog) really inspired me to make a card with the banner touching the pennants, so that's what I did on this next card.
