Paper Crafts Rejects

I just thought I'd share my 5 cards that I sent in to Paper Crafts this last submission call! none of them got picked for publication, but I read somewhere that they had 1300 submissions for 100 spots! Whoa! I still like the cards I made though, and I thought I'd share them with my blog readers today!

Sorry- some of the pics aren't the best... :P

This one was for the the call to use numbers creatively.

Made using a card sketch!

For their "bands of color" call.

Another one for the "bands of color" call.

A Birthday Card

I made this card for one of my mom's friends. My mom didn't have time to make one herself so I made one for her! I lifted this card design from a card in the Paper Crafts book "The Best of Card Creations." I love Paper Crafts. They're a great source for inspiration! Where do you get your inspiration?

I usually don't do color schemes because I usually use coordinating paper all the time! This time I coordinated it myself! (I'm so proud!) I had the pink and blue, then I thought "Ooh- yellow would really pop on this card!" So that's where I came up with my color scheme. I think I'll do these colors again- I love them!!!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: (Blue, Pink) My Mind's Eye (Yellow) Cosmo Cricket, Letter Stickers: BoBunny, Flowers: Prima, Button: American Crafts, Ribbon: my stash, Rhinestones: Me & My Big Ideas, Ink: Colorbox, Corner rounder: EKSuccess

Scrap Room Tour!

It's about time I showed off my scraproom, isn't it?! I share it with my mom since I'm only a teen, and it's kinda small. But I love it! Click on any pictures to see a larger image.

Here is a picture of our room from the doorway.

Our Cropper Hopper folders for our paper!

Our pegboard for ribbon!

Cabinet doors with storage containers in it!

Drawers

Re-done Natural Peanut Butter Jars!

And here are some pictures of the scanvas signs hanging in our room! This first one I made and the other two my Mom made.

I would love to see YOUR scrapbook room! Leave me a link if you have shared it on your blog! :)

One Last Layout To Share Before I Go...

I have another layout to share with you! I made this layout last week for several challenges over at Club Creating Keepsakes. Here are the challenges I participates in:
1. Make a Kirigami Firework or Flower.
(Kirigami is like the technique you use to make paper snowflakes.)
2. Make an outlined title.
(I actually used some leftover My Little Shoebox chipboard lettering to trace.)
3. A weekly challenge to use a recipe provided by the member Gena. It can be found here.

I will be going out of town for over a week, so I probably won't be able to blog for a while!
:( But I wanted to say thanks to all of you who stop by my blog every once in a while- I really appreciate your comments. :)
