Challenges, Challenges, and more Challenges

I am home from church right now staying with my little sister because she's sick, and so I thought I'd post 3 projects I made this weekend for 3 separate challenges!

I got to use some of my awesome OA Santa Sack on this card!! I used the Farmhouse Flower Sack diecuts. They're sooo pretty (I love that line- and the Flower Sack is the only thing I have from the line. :( )

This next card is for the Pretty Little Studio "Think Outside the Box" challenge to use this picture to make a project! I thought I'd make a nice simple card that looked like a present with kraft, white, and red.

And last, my glittery Christmas tag! This tag is for the Fabulous Friday challenge over at Frosted Designs to use glitter on a project. I usually HATE glitter, but I had some Fairy Dust "Pralines and Cream" glitter from Clearsnap (Donna Salzaar). It's GREAT and it doesn't stick on your hands like regular glitter does.

Have a fabulous Sunday!

Frosted Designs- Fabulous Friday "Metal"

Hi everyone! :) I have a card to share with you that I made for the Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday challenge to use metal on a project. I wanted to make an anniversary card for my mom and dad because they were celebrating their 24th wedding anniversary on Monday, so I used aluminum foil glued on piece of paper that I embossed through my Cuttlebug for the metal on the card!! It's not my favorite card in the world, but I tried to make it pretty quickly so my mom wouldn't walk in on me making it! :P
Patterned Paper: American Crafts
Clear Embossed White Cardstock (really pretty IRL): Stampin' Up!
Red Cardstock: Bazzill
Embossing Folder: Sizzix
Brads: The Paper Studio
Crocheted Trim: The Paper Studio
Twine: Etsy
Red Pen: Stampin' Up!

As always, thank you SO SO much for stopping by and looking at my project! :)

Pretty Little Studio Sketch Card- "Delighted"

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! I know I did! I made this card ON Thanksgiving day! :)

Do you ever play with a certain line of products, then get tired of them and put them away; and then go play with them again weeks or months later? Well, that's what I do with this American Crafts "Blue Skies" line. I won it in a Paper Crafts drawing, and so I've had these products for about 1 1/2 years! :O I still love them though and I use every little SCRAP of the papers!

In place of the journaling above and below the circles, I put the little scalloped border. I had a lotta fun making this card-- just wish my paper wouldn't wrinkle! Well, my ATG is out of adhesive so I've been using some Scotch liquid glue and that makes the paper wrinkle even more! :P

Kraft Cardstock: Recollections
All other paper and button: American Crafts
Pop Dots: Target
Embroidery Floss: DMC
Scalloped Punch: Fiskars
Circle Diecuts: Cricut Cartridge "George and Basic Shapes"

Hopefully I can share some other things I've been making lately! So check back soon!

Diecut Christmas Tag

I made a project for the Fabulous Friday challenge over at Frosted Designs! The challenge was to use die-cuts on a card, layout, or project. Well, I immediately thought of a Cricut cartridge that I have called "Very Merry Tags." It's super cute (someone gave it to me for my birthday LAST year!) and I just haven't gotten around to using it a lot!
Now I can say I've made one good tag with it! :P
Just for fun, here are the images on the cartridge:
I was thinking of doing a snowflake tag and layering several white snowflakes, but I saw this little cardinal birdie so I used that instead. If you look closely in the second picture, I used some awesome Stampin' Up resist paper. It's basically got a design clear embossed on it... really pretty paper. So elegant.

A Thank You Card

If you're looking for the Halloween Blog Hop, just scroll down a little bit. :P

I love Pretty Little Studio sketches... have I ever said that before??? I made another card with one of their sketches! And I think it's my favorite card yet! I used ONLY paper and letter stickers and two brads on this card! I actually utilized my Cricut's ability to cut flowers (usually never take the time to cut out my own flowers!).
I used some yummy My Mind's Eye papers along with some awesome Lily Bee letter stickers that I am forever in love with. :)

Leafing Memories Behind Blog Hop!

Woo hoo! It's time for another fantastic blog hop! :)
First of all, if you didn't come from Steffanie's Blog, then go back to Amanda's Blog and begin the hopping there. If you get lost along the way, just hop on back to Amanda's Blog! :)

Now, let's get started with the fun stuff!

Here's my layout I made for the hop this time. We were challenged to use pictures with LEAVES in them, and I immediately thought of these pictures! They are from 1997 (I was 3 back then!) and my mom had apparently gotten some camera film that was black and white! I loved the softness of these pictures. My mom was nice enough to let me scrapbook the ORIGINAL pictures! Thanks, Mom!

Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Cosmo Cricket "Nutmeg" line
Solid Cream Cardstock: Michael's
Brown Cardstock (title): Bazzill
Stickers: Cosmo Cricket, Jolee's
Buttons: Basic Grey, American Crafts
Twine: The Twinery
Cricut Cartridge (title): Printing Press
Glossy Accents (for title)
Pen: Zig
Other: Eyelets, corner rounder, thread

Sketchy Thursdays 8.11.11

Another Sketchy Thursdays layout! I had these pictures of my friend Mecia and I thought this sketch would be PERFECT for them! Since the pictures were kinda "dressy", I used my American Crafts Dear Lizzy line. Thanks for looking!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: American Crafts; Solid Cardstock: Reminisce; Stickers: American Crafts; Thickers: American Crafts; Scallop Punch: Fiskars; Circle Diecut: Cricut "George" cartridge; Mist: Smooch

Can you tell I'm in love with mist?! Another thing I love is stitching, but I accidently messed up our sewing machine, so we're gonna have to get it fixed... :S

The Big 1 Card

Here's a card I made for a little guy that was turning one year old. The party was nautical themed so I thought that I would make a fishy card! (plus that particular family LOVES to fish) I used my Cricut "Old West" cartridge to cut out the "1" and then I used my Cuttlebug to cut out the little fishy. Cute, isn't it?

Supplies: Patterned Paper: The Paper Studio; Twine: Etsy; Letter Stickers: American Crafts; Brads: The Paper Studio; Corner Rounder: EKSuccess; Pop Dots: American Crafts

Happy Saturday! :)
