A Card to Share with you on Sunday

Well, I guess I'm in the mood to blog, so I'm going to share with you a card I made for my grandma. She ordered a dozen cards from me so this is one that I made for the set. :)

I used the My Mind's Eye mini pad from the "Lost and Found: Madison Avenue" for this card. I received it in a prize from Toree from ClubCK. (Thanks, Toree!) I think these papers are so girly, but oh-so-elegant! They're lots of fun to use... especially since they're
double-sided like the regular papers! I used the design of one of my Halloween cards, and I really like "grounding" the stamped sentiment with strips of paper! I love using paper!!

Supplies:
Patterned Paper: My Mind's Eye
Kraft Card Base: Michael's
Brown Paper (butterflies): Bazzill
Butterfly Punch: Martha Stewarts Crafts
Pearls: Hobby Lobby
Stamp: Fiskars
Ink: Colorbox

As always, thanks for stopping by!!

A Thank You Card

If you're looking for the Halloween Blog Hop, just scroll down a little bit. :P

I love Pretty Little Studio sketches... have I ever said that before??? I made another card with one of their sketches! And I think it's my favorite card yet! I used ONLY paper and letter stickers and two brads on this card! I actually utilized my Cricut's ability to cut flowers (usually never take the time to cut out my own flowers!).
I used some yummy My Mind's Eye papers along with some awesome Lily Bee letter stickers that I am forever in love with. :)

I'm back again with a card from a Pretty Little Studio sketch! I could just imagine this layout sketch incorporated in a card, so I made a card!

Letter Stickers: Basic Grey
Baker's Twine: Etsy
White Flowers: K & Company
Pearls: Hobby Lobby

And a big thank you to AndreaJoy for these awesome Stampin' Up! papers! I love them! They were absolutely PERFECT  for this card. :)

Frosted Designs is now hosting card challenges! :)

Can I even BEGIN to say how excited I am about Frosted Designs NOW HOSTING CARD CHALLENGES?!?! Nope, probably not. I love FD challenges (although I've never won one!) and I love making cards, so it's the perfect combination! Here's Frosted Designs very first card sketch:

And here's my take on it! As you can see clearly, I flipped the sketch.
I needed a "guy" birthday card, so I used some Nikki Sivils and Bella Blvd. paper plus a little Cosmo Cricket journaling card! (the airplane) I was trying to use a "Happy Birthday" rub-on, but only half of it rubbed on and so I had to rip it off with some tape and handwrite the sentiment (NOT my best handwriting, let me tell you!).
And of course, twine makes [most] everything prettier!

Creative Scrappers Sketch #169

Back with another Creative Scrappers layout! At first, I was kinda overwhelmed with all the layering involved in this sketch, but once I found a paper that I wanted to use as the color scheme, I ran with it! I used the Doodlebug paper for the background and then just found some papers in my stash that I thought would match it! (VERY unlike me!) It turned out really well, and I think this is now one of my favorite layouts!!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Doodlebug, American Crafts, DCWV, The Paper Studio; Flower: Gluber by Cosmo Cricket; Brads: American Crafts; Buttons: American Crafts, Target, Basic Grey; Letter Stickers: My Mind's Eye; Ink: Colorbox; Pen: Marvy Uchida

Sketchy Thursdays Layout 8.4.11

Hello again! I told you that I'd be sharing another project with the beautiful Stella & Rose line from My Mind's Eye and here it is! I used this week's Sketchy Thursdays sketch to make my page. I have just gotten this paper probably about a month ago so I have kinda been saving it for something special! And now since I have gotten over my "fear" of messing it up, I'm using it! After all, I mean, it's just PAPER! I can always get more... Have a great weekend, everyone!!
Supplies: Patterned Paper: Cosmo Cricket (ledger), My Mind's Eye; Letter Stickers: American Crafts; Brads: American Crafts; Notebook Edge: BoBunny; Spray Ink: Smooch; Flower: Prima; Other: date chipboard piece, pom-pom trim

Oh- another thing... I usually don't put quotes on my pages. I usually like to write out my journaling. But on this particular page, I didn't have anything to really "say," so I just used my favorite quote I have about friends. And I really like it! Something that's out of my comfort zone, but slowly getting INTO my comfort zone. :P

Happy Birthday Card

The card challenge for this week on Club Creating Keepsakes is to use chipboard some way on your card! I love the look of raw chipboard, so I decided to use all of the rest of my random chipboard flowers on my card! I stamped them with a script stamp from Stampin' Up from a few years ago, added a few brads to a couple of the flowers, and ta-do! You're done! Twine is from hobbiesfromtheheart off Etsy. Love it to death. :)

Supplies: Patterned Paper: My Mind's Eye; Chipboard: K&Company and JoAnn's; Stamps: Stampin' Up, American Crafts; Ink: Colorbox; Brads: American Crafts, Hobby Lobby; Twine: Etsy; Stickles: Ranger; Glue: Glossy Accents

7.28.11 Sketchy Thursdays Layout

I did another Sketchy Thursdays layout! For this page, I used my Cosmo Cricket "Material Girl" paper and coordinating chipboard, and I'm not so sure I like how it all blends together. I think it needed a little bit more contrast! :O Oh well- it's done now! These pictures are of my little sister. She has finally gotten to the point that she will let me have a photo shoot with her and not complain! Yay for her! :) Thanks for looking--

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Cosmo Cricket, Chipboard: Cosmo Cricket, Adhesive: Ranger, Mist: Tattered Angels, Brads: Michael's

July 7th Sassy Lil Card

I did this card a while ago and just haven't posted it yet!! I loved this sketch, and I immediately knew what I was going to do when I saw the sketch. I had gotten some new Hampton Arts stamps in the mail for a prize from someone from Club Creating Keepsakes and I wanted to try them out.

I usually don't stamp, so I thought it'd be kinda neat to try it out. And I found out I like it! The only thing is that it takes a while. Getting out the stamps, inking them, cleaning them up... anyway- I was kinda scared about the grid pattern because I was stamping it "free handed" and was afraid that I'd get it lopsided! It ended up being alright and I really like how the whole thing turned out! To top it off with a little dimension, I added some clear Stickles to the center flower.

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Nikki Sivils, Stamps: Hanpton Arts, Ink: Colorbox, Thickers: American Crafts, Scalloped Punch: Fiskars, Stickles: Ranger
