Two Cards I've Made this Week (and some good news!)

I have a couple of cards to share with you today that I have made this week! :)

This first card is for the Pretty Little Studio Think Outside the Box challenge. I really liked the colors of this stocking, so I used them for my Thank You card. I got to use some of my NEW Cosmo Cricket "Clementine" mini deck that I got from my scrappy Secret Santa!

And then this card is for the Frosted Designs Card Challenge. I loved this sketch, and I really needed to make one last Christmas card for a friend, so I used the sketch to make it! It made it so much easier!

I got a new woodgrain embossing folder from Hobby Lobby and I wanted to try it out. AWESOME! I love it! It's Hobby Lobby brand, but it works just like a Cuttlebug or Sizzix folder. It's great. I would highly recommend this folder to anyone- the texture looks great on kraft paper. I got to use my new October Afternoon paper and goodies on this card too! (Good Cheer line)

And my GOOD NEWS...
One of my card was spotlighted on the Jillibean Soup blog! YAY! Check it out here.

Pretty Little Studio Sketch Card- "Delighted"

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! I know I did! I made this card ON Thanksgiving day! :)

Do you ever play with a certain line of products, then get tired of them and put them away; and then go play with them again weeks or months later? Well, that's what I do with this American Crafts "Blue Skies" line. I won it in a Paper Crafts drawing, and so I've had these products for about 1 1/2 years! :O I still love them though and I use every little SCRAP of the papers!

In place of the journaling above and below the circles, I put the little scalloped border. I had a lotta fun making this card-- just wish my paper wouldn't wrinkle! Well, my ATG is out of adhesive so I've been using some Scotch liquid glue and that makes the paper wrinkle even more! :P

Kraft Cardstock: Recollections
All other paper and button: American Crafts
Pop Dots: Target
Embroidery Floss: DMC
Scalloped Punch: Fiskars
Circle Diecuts: Cricut Cartridge "George and Basic Shapes"

Hopefully I can share some other things I've been making lately! So check back soon!

Pretty Little Studio Card (Sketch #19)

I have a card to share with you that I made from this week's Pretty Little Studio sketch(#19)! I kinda interpreted it a little differently, but I tried to stay with the sketch.
For the background bracket, I used a heart cut-out. Then for the smaller bracket, I used the oval sticker, then I rotated the 3 pictures and made them into paper strips. The flower clusters coordinate with the scallops I used on my card.

There. Hope that makes sense. :)

Supplies:
Patterned Paper: GCD Studios (I think...), DCWV
Sticker: Glitz Design
Stamp: American Crafts
Chipboard: JoAnn's
Twine: Etsy
Rub-on: Sassafras

A SEI Card...

Hi there! I haven't gotten to scrap the past 2 days, and I'm having withdrawals!! :P So today I'm going to share with you a card I made a couple of weeks ago with some SEI Corinne supplies. Aren't those hot air balloons so cute?! They were rub-ons, but I added some Stickles to them. And those awesomely cute clouds in the background? That was part of the run-on package! I thought they were too cute not to use!

Grid Layouts

In this past Creating Keepsakes magazine, there was a whole article on using grids on your layouts. Well, I really didn’t think about actually USING grids till this week when CK came out with a challenge to use a grid on your layout over at Club CK! (for premium members only) So I did one. And another one. And I found out that grids are really fun to use!!  It’s a lot easier to use grids if you draw one on your page first so then you can tell where to put your pictures and elements!

By the way, can I just say I LOVE My Mind's Eye's Stella & Rose line? I love the colors and they're really fun to use. Come back tomorrow for another layout made with this gorgamous paper!

For this next layout, I used my PJ pants for inspiration! I used the navy as a background, just like my pants, and then added spots of different colors!
