Frosted Designs- Fabulous Friday "Metal"

Hi everyone! :) I have a card to share with you that I made for the Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday challenge to use metal on a project. I wanted to make an anniversary card for my mom and dad because they were celebrating their 24th wedding anniversary on Monday, so I used aluminum foil glued on piece of paper that I embossed through my Cuttlebug for the metal on the card!! It's not my favorite card in the world, but I tried to make it pretty quickly so my mom wouldn't walk in on me making it! :P
Patterned Paper: American Crafts
Clear Embossed White Cardstock (really pretty IRL): Stampin' Up!
Red Cardstock: Bazzill
Embossing Folder: Sizzix
Brads: The Paper Studio
Crocheted Trim: The Paper Studio
Twine: Etsy
Red Pen: Stampin' Up!

As always, thank you SO SO much for stopping by and looking at my project! :)

Frosted Designs Card!

I have a card to share with you that I made from a Frosted Designs card sketch! This card was really fun to make, and for some reason I just felt like using gray as the background color for this card. I also challenged myself to mix different letter sticker fonts, and so I did that too on this card. It added a nice bit of color, I think!

As you can see, I rotated the sketch, but I kept the 3 brads on either end of the paper strip.

Gray Cardstock: my stash! :)
Patterned Paper: Echo Park (orange), Cosmo Cricket (blue)
Letter Stickers: American Crafts (pink, orange, purple) , Jillibean Soup(yellow) , Doodlebug Design (green), My Little Shoebox (red, pink), Making Memories (blue)
Brads: Hobby Lobby

Pretty Little Studio Sketch Card- "Delighted"

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! I know I did! I made this card ON Thanksgiving day! :)

Do you ever play with a certain line of products, then get tired of them and put them away; and then go play with them again weeks or months later? Well, that's what I do with this American Crafts "Blue Skies" line. I won it in a Paper Crafts drawing, and so I've had these products for about 1 1/2 years! :O I still love them though and I use every little SCRAP of the papers!

In place of the journaling above and below the circles, I put the little scalloped border. I had a lotta fun making this card-- just wish my paper wouldn't wrinkle! Well, my ATG is out of adhesive so I've been using some Scotch liquid glue and that makes the paper wrinkle even more! :P

Kraft Cardstock: Recollections
All other paper and button: American Crafts
Pop Dots: Target
Embroidery Floss: DMC
Scalloped Punch: Fiskars
Circle Diecuts: Cricut Cartridge "George and Basic Shapes"

Hopefully I can share some other things I've been making lately! So check back soon!

Diecut Christmas Tag

I made a project for the Fabulous Friday challenge over at Frosted Designs! The challenge was to use die-cuts on a card, layout, or project. Well, I immediately thought of a Cricut cartridge that I have called "Very Merry Tags." It's super cute (someone gave it to me for my birthday LAST year!) and I just haven't gotten around to using it a lot!
Now I can say I've made one good tag with it! :P
Just for fun, here are the images on the cartridge:
I was thinking of doing a snowflake tag and layering several white snowflakes, but I saw this little cardinal birdie so I used that instead. If you look closely in the second picture, I used some awesome Stampin' Up resist paper. It's basically got a design clear embossed on it... really pretty paper. So elegant.

PLS Card- "Hello"

Hi!

I squeezed in a card this evening! I wanted to participate in the Pretty Little Studio sketch challenge, so I whipped up a card made with Pretty Little Studio products since they have the mini 4x4 papers that were just great for this card!

For the top 3 skinny papers, I used little pennets and I changed the orientation of the sentiment. Instead of a photo, I used a little bicycle stamped image from Hero Arts!! (gotta love those stamps!)

Sorry for the rather short blog post today, but I'm hurrying so I can go scrap some more!

A Card to Share with you on Sunday

Well, I guess I'm in the mood to blog, so I'm going to share with you a card I made for my grandma. She ordered a dozen cards from me so this is one that I made for the set. :)

I used the My Mind's Eye mini pad from the "Lost and Found: Madison Avenue" for this card. I received it in a prize from Toree from ClubCK. (Thanks, Toree!) I think these papers are so girly, but oh-so-elegant! They're lots of fun to use... especially since they're
double-sided like the regular papers! I used the design of one of my Halloween cards, and I really like "grounding" the stamped sentiment with strips of paper! I love using paper!!

Supplies:
Patterned Paper: My Mind's Eye
Kraft Card Base: Michael's
Brown Paper (butterflies): Bazzill
Butterfly Punch: Martha Stewarts Crafts
Pearls: Hobby Lobby
Stamp: Fiskars
Ink: Colorbox

As always, thanks for stopping by!!

Scrappy Shopping! :)

Sorry I haven't blogged in a WHILE, but with my new job, I don't have much time for anything! Time was especially tight this week because we had a revival at chruch, so I would get home from work just to snarf down some food and hop in the car to go to church!

This morning, though, my mom and I made a trip to a LSS over an hour away from us. That's the first time I have been there, and I LOVE it! The lady there is so nice and they carry a lot of nice NEW products! Here are some of the things I got (pics are from google):

Some papers from the Crate Paper Farmhouse line

Some papers, dicuts, and stickers from the Crate Paper "Random" line

Some papers and stickers from the "So Sophie" My Mind's Eye line.

(I thought the colors were great for guy projects! Not the flower page,
but the others will work!)

Some papers from American Crafts' "City Park" line

Some BEAUTIFUL new Authentique "Uncommon" papers (not the mini pad... just showing the different patterns)

Some papers from the "Spendid" Authentique line

(and the sad thing is I bought some diecuts to match... but found out when we were on the way home that I had picked up the ones for the "Blissful" line... Aw man!)

And last but not least, some yummy Jillibean Soup "Sweet & Sour" paper!

(unfortunately, they didn't have the cute typewriter piece! :( )

Frosted Designs Layout!!

I have another layout to share, and it's for the Frosted Designs Sketch Along Tuesdays! I haven't participated in this challenge in a whiiiillllee, and when I saw this sketch, I wasn't quite sure how to interpret it. So, I printed it out and taped it up in my scraproom and thought about it for a while. Then it came to me how I could use this sketch! And I like the outcome! What do you think??
I got to use some of my FABULOUS new papers that I bought from a LSS over an hour away (I have only been there once since it's so far away.). It's some Crate Paper Farmhouse and Random Collections. LOVE it! Then the background paper is a piece from Pebbles... can't remember the line or I'd tell you... :)

And that AMAZING tulle flower...? It's from Webster's Pages!
I won it in a ClubCK challenge about a month ago and have just been waiting to use it!

And as always, THANK YOU for stopping by! I really appreciate it! :)

Pretty Little Studio Card (Sketch #19)

I have a card to share with you that I made from this week's Pretty Little Studio sketch(#19)! I kinda interpreted it a little differently, but I tried to stay with the sketch.
For the background bracket, I used a heart cut-out. Then for the smaller bracket, I used the oval sticker, then I rotated the 3 pictures and made them into paper strips. The flower clusters coordinate with the scallops I used on my card.

There. Hope that makes sense. :)

Supplies:
Patterned Paper: GCD Studios (I think...), DCWV
Sticker: Glitz Design
Stamp: American Crafts
Chipboard: JoAnn's
Twine: Etsy
Rub-on: Sassafras

Sketchy Thursdays- Nov. 3rd

I loved the Sketchy Thursdays layout sketch this past week, and I just HAD to play along! :)

I got to break out my NEW Basic Grey "Out of Print" paper along with a BoBunny Double Dots page! I loooove the BG paper, and I'm trying to make it last as long as I can!
You can click on the photo to see it bigger. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my layout!
