Washi Dipped Gift Tags {mambi}

With the new washi tapes being released at me & my BIG ideas last month, I just HAD to find a way to use them on some Christmas gift tags! I love washi tape, and this is fun new way to use washi tape in a festive way!

I have also been gravitating towards simple and clean designs in my crafting, and these are definitely both of those things.

To make these, I simply just placed strips of washi tape on a piece of paper and then diecut the paper with my manual die cutting machine (my Cuttlebug). Using a manual die cutting machine makes it so the edges are nice and clean. I don't know how well it would work with an electronic deicutting machine. You could also use a large punch if you have one.

After die cutting the tags, I punched holes in them and then added some minimal embellishing.

This gold foil starburst printed washi tape from THIS set is one of my new faves. So elegant and pretty! I want to use this particular one on everything Christmas.

And the crazy, surprising thing about these? My mom loved them! She usually hates washi tape on stuff... don't ask me why. She just does. But she looked at them was said, "Now THAT'S how you use washi." :P I'm glad my mom approves. ;)

I hope these inspire you and make you want to create some of your own!

This project is also up on the me & my BIG ideas blog today if you want to check it out HERE. :)

Today I have a post up on the me & my BIG ideas blog! I'm sharing this adorable little pom-pom and paper circles banner.

(Thanks to Laura for being my model once again! :) )

Isn't it just the cutest?! Check out the post HERE to read more about how I made it. :)

College To-Do's {mambi}

I am getting closer to being finished with semester 3 of college, and my HAPPY PLANNER™ is perfect for holding my super-long to-do lists! I made this particular one that I can move from week to week and also used a magnetic clip to hold my place in my planner.

Seriously, planning stuff helps my brain sooooo much. So much stress relief because I don't have to depend on my brain to remember it all-- it's all on my lists! :)

Here's to hoping that I finish all these things ^^^ SOON so I can have this semester done and in the books! :)

OH- and this planner spread was posted on the mambi blog the other week, so if you want to check that out, click HERE

PDX- Sunday Sketch {Citrus Twist Kits}

Hello! Happy Sunday!

My third project for my guest design spot with Citrus Twist Kits is up today! I got to work with one of their sketches this week:

Isn't that such an awesome sketch?! I love all the little details in it. It makes it so easy to create a page from it! The main thing I changed from the sketch is that I made an 8.5x11 page instead of a 12x12 page. I've been all into smaller pages lately, so it only made sense. :)

I love the different textures included in this month's "Happy Lane" kit from Citrus Twist Kits.

Be sure to check out the entire post over at the CTK blog HERE

Cool Kids- Tuesday Tutorial {Citrus Twist Kits}

Today I have a new layout to share with you using the "Happy Lane" main scrapbook kit from Citrus Twist Kits! Today is "Tutorial Tuesday" on the CTK blog, and so I am sharing a process video for the makings of this page!

It's so hard to pick favorites, but I think this is my favorite page I made with this kit. It was just so much fun to make, and the fact that I got to scrapbook some great memories from this summer just added to the fun. :) Plus, I spy typewriter journaling!!!!

Be sure to check out the process video HERE! :) Let me know what you think of it! I am always looking for ways to improve (did you like the music stopping when I am talking? Or should I have it continuing, just lower volume?).

Karma's {Citrus Twist Kits}

I don't know if you visited my introduction post on the Citrus Twist Kits blog yesterday, but I have this page up with that post, and I thought I'd share it here on my blog as well!

The November main scrapbook kit "Happy Lane" is so fun and cute. The colors are perfect for just about anything you want to scrapbook. :)

I was obsessed with the "Confetti" paper from the Dear Lizzy Documentary collection. The one with all the pretty circles:

I love papers that I can cut the designs out of, and the circles in this pattern are perfect for just that! I mixed some of the patterns with the circle vellum diecuts from the Sunkissed diecuts from Basic Grey (you get the whole pack in the kit!!). Like I've said before, I love mixing textures!

Thanks for joining me today! I just survived a mock interview in my speech class at college this morning (I HATE interviews), so I need to find a way to celebrate. ;)

I'm a Guest Designer for Citrus Twist Kits!

I'm SOOOOOOO excited that I was asked to be a guest designer for Citrus Twist Kits for this month! I had sent in my design team application probably over a year ago, and apparently they had just kept it for future use! I LOVE Citrus Twist Kits. Their mix of papers and embellishments makes it so easy and  fun to create projects. It's like, easier because it's a kit, but still fun. :) You still have freedom to do whatever you want with the products.

So here's a sneak of each of my 4 projects I made for this month! The top right page is actually posted on their blog today, along with some fun info about me and my scrap space. :) Here's the link to the CTK blog

Everything that you see in the sneaks (minus the black mist… that's my homemade stuff) is included in the November main scrapbook kit. I can't wait to show you these projects in full!

Halloween Shaker Tag {mambi}

Today I have a Halloween project up over on the me & my BIG ideas blog! There are several other Halloween themed projects on the post from other design team members, so check it out! Click HERE to view the full post.

I love shaker pockets. Like, I want to buy a ton of sequins and try out making different shaker things. Cards, pockets, you name it! I haven't ever made a vellum pocket filled with sequins, so I tried that out on this project. I even took the pop dots off of some dimensional stickers and mixed them in with the sequins inside the pocket (all the different things!).

So festive and fun! I think I know what I'll be using for all my Christmas tags and cards-- shaker pockets!!! :) Watch out, world. Thanks for stopping by!

Lots of Patterned Papers

So this past Friday, my very first nephew was born! I'm an auntie now!! We made a sure quick trip out to Oklahoma to visit baby Jordan, and it was so worth it. I mean, look at this gorgeous little face!!

I could flood you with lots of photos (I might do that later), but for now I'll just give you a tease and get back to scrappy stuff. ;) I love patterned paper. I love patterns in general. So when it comes to making projects, I go with the logic of the more patterns you can include, the better. That is definitely so with this card. Cue lots of patterns in 3… 2…1…

I have made a lot of thank you cards lately because my birthday was just a couple weeks ago and I had a lot of thank you notes to write for all the gifts I got from friends and family! :) So that's the first of several I will share soon. Until then, have a fab Monday!

October HAPPY PLANNER™ Spread

I love my HAPPY PLANNER ™. I helps me stay organized and get things done throughout the week. I really like how this planner spread came together this week.

I don't normally plan out things for the weekend, so to fill the space I placed large alpha stickers on the Saturday/Sunday columns. Plus the word FOCUS was a great reminder for me to get stuff done this week! And I actually have gotten almost everything done that I needed to get done. All that's left now is fun scrapbooking-related stuff.

So I'm off to scrapbook. :)

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE

Happy Friday, y'all! It's so crazy that we are half way through October. Like, for real. This is absolutely crazy.

Anywho, here's a layout I made with some Pop Art kit papers. I just LOVE the bright colors in that kit, so I had to use all the pretty patterns on one layout. :)

I love texture. In addition to the mist splatters and hand-cut letters, I sewed on this layout and added some cork embellishments. I usually don't use solid card stock for the background of my pages, but I decided I liked the green for the background of this layout. I'm branching out! LOL :P

Someday I'm sure I will look at my pages and wonder WHY I used so much spray mist, but oh well. I like it right now. So that's that.

One of my favorite photos of me, my cat, and my sister.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
