PL Spread- August 2015

I have a love affair with Studio Calico. I LOVE their kits, even though I don't subscribe to them. I would break down and subscribe, but I can't only buy my kit each month and that is not good for the bank account! I usually add several things to my box and then end up spending way too much each month on scrapbook stuff. Although it is a lot of fun… ;)

I have finally caught up on my Project Life. All the trips this summer had me waaaaay behind, but I am happy to report that I am all caught up as of today! Woo hoo!

I want to share with you one of my most recent spreads because I just love the SC goodies I used on this page. And this photo I got of Pete:

Heehee he loves to get in my way while I'm taking scrapbook project photos outside and every once in a while, I get a cute photo. :)

I used mainly the August Pop Art Project Life kit from Studio Calico for this page. I ended up finding a listing in a Facebook group sale for most of the PL kit and I was SOOOOO excited. I had wanted to buy the kit from SC, but I didn't want to pay $29.99 or have to subscribe to get a better deal. I love the bright colors in this month's kit. I mean, how GORGEOUS are they?? So summer-y. This spread makes me happy.

Ok, happy Monday! Be back soon--

MCI.SFO.PDX mini album

I love making mini albums. Most of the mini albums I make, I give away to people. As was the case with this mini album.

MarLeah and I took a trip this summer to Oregon for camp meeting and also for youth camp (woo hoo!) We had a blast. We also got to spend a few hours in San Francisco because our flight to Portland was cancelled one day. It was kind of like a dream come true to get to go back to SF. I love San Francisco so much. I'm pretty sure it will always be my favorite city. <3 I guess I will determine that once I visit more places! ;)

For this album, I used a grey 4x4 mini album from We R Memory Keepers. I have several of these cute little albums and this was my first time to actually use one of these albums! I wasn't too sure about the size. 4x4 is super small compared to a full 12x12, but I ended up having a lot of fun making this mini album. I will definitely use this size in the future.

I used the Laina alphabet stamps from Studio Calico for this title page. I LOVE this font and how the letters fit so perfectly on this page.

And here are the inside pages! :) I used my Fuse tool to seal up the confetti pocket and to make 3x4 pockets throughout the mini album. I kinda love my Fuse!

So there you have it! A cute little mini album of some of my summer adventures.

Birthday Card

Today is my dad's 47th birthday and (of course) I made him a card! I got my inspiration from THIS post from Studio Calico. I loved the design of Aga's card, so I scraplifted her sketch-inspired card.

Sometimes it's hard to find papers that are manly looking, but I managed to mix some together from recent SC kits and I adore the outcome. I really like this card. ;)

I am really bad at writing in cards. I just don't know what to say. I'm not good at writing, I'm good at creating. I like to say that I put all my effort in making the card, so that is the way I express my feelings. And inside I basically write:

Happy birthday, Dad! :)

Decorated Notebook {mambi}

Hello! I'm just getting back in the swing of things now that I've started college again. This is my first full week back this semester. I love going to college because it keeps me busy. I was just talking to mom today about how I am happier when I am busy. I love feeling accomplished. Feeling like I have actually done something in a day. I'm also starting a new job this week! It's still in childcare, but I will be making more money :) at a private daycare. Change is good, right?

In preparation for college, I decorated this notebook a couple of weeks ago. And today it is up on the me & my BIG ideas blog! In addition to some AWESOME patterned papers from mambi, I used some little strips of photos that I printed from my Paris/ Berlin trip. It's so wonderful seeing little snippets of my memories on an everyday item. It makes me smile. :)

If you're interested, I have a quick tutorial on the me & my BIG ideas blog (click HERE to visit the blog post) on how to make this notebook cover. It's super simple, but awesome (if I do say so myself).

Project Life Process: Paris & Berlin

Slowly, but surely, I have been catching up on Project Life. It's so bad when you get behind because it's hard to know where to start to catch back up! You can start where you left off, but then you also don't have the time to document the weeks you're in or have just finished (does that make sense?). Arg. I have done a few pages though, and I wanted to share the very first FULL spread of my 6x12 Project Life album with you.

I even made a process video of it. Click HERE to watch it! :D

Scrapping my Europe trip just makes me happy. I think I just need to fill my whole wall up in my room of photos from this trip. <3

Catch you later!

Be Still *HAPPY PLANNER™ spread*

So I made this HAPPY PLANNER™ spread as one of my me & my BIG ideas projects last month. I was focusing on my "never ending" to-do list. Because, let's face it. We all have those. I need to use mine more. I think it would help free my brain a little bit. :P

I added some folded-over washi tape as a tab so you can easily turn to the to-do list.

If you want to check out the full post of this spread on the mambi blog, please click HERE

Have a fabulous day!
