My First ScrapFit Challenge!

If you are here for the Valentine's Day Blog Hop, scroll down to the next post. :)
I am participating in my first EVER ScrapFit challenge! The challenge was to just kraft cardstock in your project. I didn't have any 12x12 kraft paper, so I pieced some pieces together that I cut from 8.5 x11's and stitched at the seams. I think it adds a really fun look to an otherwise plain background.  I think I saw this technique in the Scrapbooks etc. magazine.
And I should add that I scraplifted this layout that I pinned on my Pinterest. It was made by Diane Payne from Bella Blvd. You can find my pinned image here. I really liked how she showcased so much patterned paper on this ONE layout, and I loved the whole page, so I lifted it!

I love this layout for several reasons:
- I used my favorite Jillibean Soup paper from the "Sweet and Sour Soup" line
- It has my daddy on it :D This layout reminds me of how awesome he is!
- the scored medallions (I love using these- I just don't use them enough)
and
-all the patterns on this page!
