Hello!
I am sharing a layout today that I made all by myself! I feel like a big girl! ;) I had the basic design i wanted to use and so I simply layered lots of different papers from the Crate Paper "Pretty Party" line. Then I added my title and embellishments. I scrapbook in steps. I do my paper, then add my embellishments, and lastly, my title. I wanted to use the large flower diecut from my collection pack, and I was kind of unsure how it'd look. But, ends up, I love it! It's a little different for me!
Something I really like about this finished layout is the layering behind the title. I could have just placed my title stickers straight on the page, but I didn't want to do that. So, I layered some washi tape and strips of patterned paper, sewed a little on it, and THEN added my title. I placed a few small embellies around the title to add some dimension. I think this was a great "improvement" of my page. Just think how plain it would look without the grounding of the title!
Thanks for visiting today! I really enjoy reading your comments! :)

I really love the layered washi tape and patterned papers behind the title. The whole layout looks amazing. :)
Love the wood grain background Heather and I think the strips behind your title were the perfect touch!
Love your lo, and the strips are a great way to ground your title! I think the would have looked funny just floating up there. Congrats on making valdictorian for your class, BTW!
