Basically I will be sharing projects twice a month that I've made with my Hello Heather products. This will help me be motivated to use my products since I have "assignments" to do. Yay! I have some fun creations made up and also some floating around in my brain so... yeah! I'm excited! :)

Check out the other ladies on the team HERE (click on the "About Us" tab and then click "2017 Creative Team") and be on the lookout for my first post for the team next week!

Refound Faves: Hello Again

Another one of my favorite paper collections EVER is the Hello Again collection designed by Kaitlin Sheaffer for Carta Bella. This paper in this collection has the PERFECT texture to it. I don't normally buy Carta Bella, but this collection... I don't even know how I found out about it, but ever since I bought it, I have LOVED it. What's so fun is that there are some love-y phrases in this line, and I get to go back and USE them since I now am married! :) Yay!

I will forever be a fan of fussy-cutting florals. There are so many bold floral patterns in my stash just waiting to be cut out. I love flowers.

Also here's a bonus card I made with the collection kit as well! I fussy cut those hearts out of a patterned paper and then layered the sentiment sticker on top. I thought that little "You are on my Heart" phrase went perfectly with the hearts! :)

There you have it-- week 2 of Refound Faves. I hope you'll join me again next week!

Thumbs Up

Right after Kevin and I got married, the company he works for said that maybe we should get a camper to haul so it would feel more like "home" to me. I don't know if it was a suggestion or a request, but K took it like that's what they wanted him to do. (He basically will do anything for this company. He's just like that.) So, we proceeded to look for a new truck because his old one probably wouldn't haul a big camper like what we were wanting.

My dad found us a good deal on a truck from someone that we kinda knew, and when we were down in Alabama for Christmas, we bought a truck! It's kinda crazy when you have to buy BIG things like that right after you get married. It's cray-cray on the bills. But we made it through, and we are prod owners of a lifted and loud Chevy truck. Kevin LOVES it. I mean, I think every time he drives it, there's a huge smile plastered on his face. I like it. Doesn't really matter that much to me, just that it's a Chevy (so my dad can help if we have problems) and it looks nice. :) I'd rather drive our VW Jetta ANY time. That truck is way too big. But anyways!

We also got a camper (which is another story for another time) and are HOPING to get on the road with it soon!

When we were having a photo session with Katie & Alec, Katie asked if we wanted a picture with our new truck (we were talking about it) and yep. Pretty sure this is Kevin's favorite photo of the day. lol So I had to scrap it, right??

I kept it pretty simple. I love the Lovely Day papers from Dear Lizzy and the "thumbs up" title from Oh My Heart goes perfectly with the photo. :)

I really love how this page turned out! This was one of those pages that I wasn't super crazy about to begin with, but ended up loving!

Spotted: Hello Heather in Kits

You know what's super exciting to me? Seeing my products pop up all over the scrapbooking world. Seriously, it's the best feeling ever. Knowing that someone else likes my products enough to buy them and put them in their kits for their customers is so special to me.

Here are some kits that have included products from my Hello Heather lines. I will link the kits under each photo if you want to see more of any particular one.

This month's (March 2017) Scrapbook Circle Happy Place main scrapbook kit includes the Sandy journaling cards from my Summer Vibes collection!

Also their add-on "Good Stuff" includes the cut-apart word flags from Summer Vibes.

I didn't even see this until the other day-- Citrus Twist has the clear Flower Crown stickers from my Summer Vibes collection as well as the cut apart labels from the same line in their February 2017 Grace Box! (those flowers would be perfect for using in your journaling bible!)

Studio Calico has the star diecuts from the Summer Vibes collection in their Funny Face add-on! (I always squeal inside when I see SC has picked up some of my products!!)

And last but not least, Noel Mignon has the 3x4 and 4x6 journaling card sets plus the cut apart flags from my Here + There collection in their Little Bird Daily Diary kit. How exciting!!

How CRAZY is all of this? Hello Heather has been around for over a year now-- woo hoo! I can't wait to see what the next year holds in store for my brand!

Refound Faves: Maggie Holmes Flea Market

Hello! I'm back with my second series here on the Crafty Scrapbooker blog! The last one was of my wedding photos (which I love!), and now I'm on to a scrappy series! Woo hoo!

So if you didn't read the sneak post, I'm going to be sharing a new layout every Monday where I use some of my refound favorite collections. A couple of weeks ago, I was sorting out my scrapbook stash and discovered some collections that I just couldn't get rid of, even though they're old(er) and only have bits and pieces left. Ya know what though? Scrapbooking is about using products you LOVE and are excited to use! And boy, when I found this collection, I was super happy.

Re-introducing: Maggie Holmes' very first collection for Crate Paper: Flea Market. (I think this is form 2013.) I've always had a love for this collection. I remember scrap lifting some of Maggie's pages that she had made with this line because they were just SO pretty!! I literally only have scraps and a few diecuts and stickers left of this collection.
So I used them on a layout! What's crazy about scrapbooking is that it's just that-- SCRAPbooking. I bet you I could make several more pages with my leftovers because hey-- there's so many things you can do with paper and stickers!

I rarely leave this much white space on my WHITE background, but this was the perfect style for these small embellishments and scraps. I was channeling my inner Lisa Truesdell for this page. ;)

Lots of stamping, misting, and sewing! I've said it before, and I'll say it again-- I love me some texture!!

I found a couple more pages in my blog archives where I used the Flea Market line. Time flies... I remember making this pages like it was yesterday!

Are there any collections that you LOVE and just can't get rid of? Let me know in the comments!

Love You

Here's a random layout that I created with some new products that I recently purchased from Paper Issues. I love THIS new paper from Shimelle's Little by Little called Evolving Love. It's the prettiest design ever and I'm going to use these hearts on everything. You've been warned. ;)

I'm really trying to mix in older products with my newer products, so I definitely stuck in some oldies-but-goodies with my fabulous new stuff this time. For example, those epoxy brads are super old-- like, I think they're from the First Date collection by Chickaniddy Crafts which I bought at Tuesday Morning. I promptly got rid of the rest of the pack when I was done with this layout. They've been hanging around too long. lol

Although you can't see it well in the photos, I watercolored a light purple background on this page to add some pizazz to the otherwise white base. It matches the purple in this page perfectly.

I think I went a little stamp happy with all of the stars, but what's done is done. Can't do anything about it now! I like the stars, don't get me wrong, but I think I wouldn't have put as many on this page.

So what do you think? Have you bought any new products lately that you're enjoying using? Let me know in the comments!!

Recent Scrappy Buys

I have a small haul that I thought I would share with you today! These are just some items that I’ve picked up here and there whenever I can find good deals. One advantage of traveling with Kevin is that I get to go shopping EVERYWHERE. Seriously, when we just got to Pennsylvania for a couple of days recently, I hit up two JoAnn one day looking for the mini paper pads that I’ve only found at ONE other Jo’s (I had a 60% off coupon! Alas, didn’t find any good ones.).

Tuesday Morning is place I love going to because you never know what you’re going to find! I got two packs of phrase thickers for $1.99 apiece recently! I’ll take it, I’ll take it! :)

These are some papers that I found at JoAnn’s. They were on sale 12 for $2— you can’t go wrong! New patterns too! What was super weird though is that there were 2 Pink Paislee Oh My Heart papers, but they were $1.99 apiece not on sale. Whaaa? These are thin, one sided papers. I don’t mind paying $0.17 for a thin, one sided paper, but waaaaay not $1.99. I’m supposing there was just a glitch somewhere. I’m going to check back later. More than one Jo’s was that way though, so I’m hoping they will discover their mistake soon.

Also on the right of this photo are some older papers (and a sticker sheet!) from Echo Park that I bought at the Scrapbook Clearance store in Pigeon Forge (we stopped by on the way to work after visiting my parents last weekend!).

THIS. <3 I’ve been looking for THIS collection by Kaitlin Shaeffer and Carta Bella for a little bit now. You’ll discover my love for Kaitlin’s designs later this month when I use one of her other collections in my Refound Faves series. Anyway, since this collection is older (2013), I haven’t been able to find it anywhere. And then we went to the big scrapbook store in Pigeon Forge (beside the clearance store) and found this for 50% off!!! Whaaaa?? Talk about a wonderful serendipity. I can’t wait to use it.

I bought these Dear Lizzy diecuts from her Happy Place collection from last year in a Facebook resale group. I’ve been eyeing them for a while now. That “so in love” one is basically why I bought the pack. lol

I love this pattern. I bought the Crate Paper Cool Kid and Outfitters 6x6 paper pads at JoAnn (this pattern is from the Cool Kid pad). I wanted to find more of the AC paper pads, but haven’t had any luck yet (the store I bought these at was sold out of a lot of them). Only larger JoAnn stores sell them, and I didn't realize how many SMALL Jo's there are out there! :(

Have you gotten any good deals on some new goodies lately? I'm kind of obsessed with finding good deals on scrappy stuff. I also just sorted my scrap room the other week, so maybe that's why I'm in the mood to buy new stuff! ;)

P. S. Can you tell I LOVE PAPER??
